I was deep into a database project, working under my own pressure to finish quickly and prove myself. The clock was loud. My expectations were louder. I kept circling the same problem, convinced the answer was just one more adjustment away.

It wasn’t.

The harder I pushed, the more stuck I became. Eventually I did the only thing left to do. I walked away, still carrying the familiar weight of imagined failure, and went in search of coffee and something comforting.

On the walk back up the stairs to my office, the answer surfaced quietly. I had set a temporary filter for testing and never removed it. Nothing was broken. Nothing was wrong. I had simply been too close to see it.

Once the filter was gone, everything worked as it should have.
